Crucial to the performance and efficiency of wind turbines is the size of the rotor blades, which are produced from ultra-light sandwich structures and today reach lengths of 60 m or more. Our BALTEK® balsa cores are particularly suitable for high shear and compressive forces, while structural AIREX® foam materials ensure optimal strength and weight ratios in all parts of the rotor blade.
